INA Ecoclub: Go Genuinely Green
Eco Clubs are a platform on which students, teachers and parents can come aboard to share knowledge and practices leading to a sustainable environment friendly life. Students can be the best resource and proponent for the conservation of environment and lessen waste. In fact they can start providing results better than adults as many adults are not open to changes. Students can persuade their parents to become more responsible and responsive towards the environment.
As far as teachers are concerned they can have their opportunity of creating awareness, build stance and help students to take up practices and activities in real world to value it in a way the constraints of curriculum and classroom wouldn’t allow.
Indian Nurserymen Association intends to introduce eco-clubs in school and primary learning institutes so as to inculcate the concept of sustainability with regard to environment. The students will learn to acknowledge and be a part of saving environment and making the environment clean with minimizing the waste generated along with planting more trees in order to balance the cycle of nature. They will not only be directly involved but they will help in spreading awareness among their acquaintances and parents. The need to understand what is really green and what pretends to be green should be encouraged and practiced as well. The introduction of eco-clubs in school will aim to employ all available resources in an effective way.
